WILL & MOLLY REED MUSEUM

The museum was the old log home of the now deceased residents Will and Molly Reed. The museum is built of hand-hewn logs put together with wooden pegs, and is covered with handmade cypress boards, typical of houses in the 1875 era. It now houses many artifacts and/or memorabilia, all of which have been loaned, given to, or purchased by the Historical Society. Although the museum is a county function, the upkeep is primary responsibility of the Alleene community. Most residents in the community are well versed on any item in the museum and are readily available to conduct a tour of the museum.
